Stain on my engine cover

So I popped up my hood today and found this stain.

any ideas ? Thanks

 

Would appear to be spilled oil. Degreaser will get it off

Lick it. That way you can tell if it was rodent piss or not.

 

You may want to consider cleaning your garage if it’s kept indoors. May catch the culprit. Also, a good drive down the interstate real quick could shake the critter loose

 

unless the rodent was tap dancing in that same spot... I don’t think it would leave that many foot prints, what is directly above those spots? Under the hood

 

Meh, just leave it. Your air box is enclosed and what is that actually hurting? Unless its engine fluids. Get a cat or rent one. They will find a rodent for you.

Nope, if you look, it seems the 3rd gen air box is not completely sealed. Some are finding gaps in the corners. Been a few threads on it.

 

I would be a bit concerned if it's rodents. They'll chew the shit out of things if you aren't careful.

I spray my engine compartment wire harnesses from the top and from underneath with this at every oil change.
