Damn an OE air cleaner photo can get 2 pages worth of content within less than a day but a thread surrounding some simple technical knowledge gets zero replies even after several bumps to the top.

    Yep, this is definitely Tacomaworld.

Lightbars, lifts, and rims is the only knowledge around here.

OP- :bananadead: it, mice don’t like that and won’t come back.

Actually, this does work- wet down the engine compartment and sprinkle cayenne all over it and let it dry on. The other suggestions to clean up the garage and put bait out are good, too.

Definitely, mouse piss, paw prints. Open the hood with the lights on at night for awhile, set some traps out. Or get some Irish spring soap, lay it in the engine bay. Take everything out before you drive obviously. Start setting out poison and traps in your garage.

i have one of these Rat Zapper. It actually works great, handles big rats too. set traditional snap traps with peanut butter, get some bait that they eat that makes em thirsty basically dehydrates them. you have to get a grip on the situation before they infest.

You need to pee on the engine now to show dominance and claim the engine bay as your territory.

Crazy. At least it will be safe from a drizzle of dried fluid on the engine cover.

Wow THAT is a festive nest. Those birds take pride in their builds.

Op got pee on his engine cover. Which makes me thankful I don’t have an engine cover to pee on.

To be fair. Pee has been tracked to the apparently "unsealed" air filter housing. You have that. So piddle away bra. :headbang:

Seriously...we jest a bit. But don't f**k around with this. Just had a buddy go round and round with State Farm over Rodent damage that rendered his '17 4Runner undrivable. Damage exceeded $3500. They finally agreed to pay it minus his $500 deductible. 4 weeks lost in that process and 2 more weeks at the dealership . Plus he was initially tagged for the tow.
