Stainless Brake Lines Need Gaskets?

    Gaskets? Crush washers? Mine didn't come with any of that, and neither did the stock lines. Do you mean the clips that hold the brake line in the bracket? If so, then yes, you need to replace the factory clips with the new ones to keep the new lines in place.

    yes you need crush washers. and brackets. might not need to be replaced, but rule of thumb for both is change every time.

    I'm gonna need a picture of these crush washers to believe that they actually exist for the brake lines. And don't put Teflon tape on the threads either.

    There are no crush washers or gaskets on the brake lines, they are clips that hold the line to the bracket. In order to remove the stock lime from the bracket, you have to remove the stock clip. Then to fasten the new line to the bracket, you can either use the ones that came with the new lines, or you may be able to re use the stock clips. These guys who are saying crush washers, are incorrect.

    This is correct. The hose fittings are female with an internal bevel that will mate with a DIN-style male end. Think of it as a specialty union fitting.

    Disregard my previous post, I think the Tacoma is a bit different

    It actually have the hardline from the master cylinder down to each wheel, then attached with the brake hose then another hardline to the calipers....

    Since they route it like that... there are no crusher needed

    If the Tacoma had banjo fittings, which it doesn't, then it would have flange seals that look like washers with rings in them to create a seal. But I believe the term for the style fitting the Tacoma has is AN fitting, which require no gaskets or seals. I am guessing that the OP is asking about the clips that hold the brake lines in the brackets.
