Stainless Steel Brake Lines

    18" tires and rims, 2.75" Procomp lift, Fox shocks in rear.
    Anyone here using stainless steel brake lines for their 5-lug? If so, did you notice any differences from the stock brake hoses?

    A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    You'll only note a difference in pedal modulation IF your current hoses are swelling/ballooning. At that point even new OE hoses would feel, well, new.

    Keep in mind that SS lines aren't. The SS is just a protective wrap over a core line of some other material. Yes, they offer some protection in an off road enviroment, and they look cool. But that's about it.

    I used them on a race prepped street car I had. The OE lines needed attention, someone gave me a deal, so I used them.

    Properly serviced caliper/drum hardware, pads/shoes with a bit more bite than OE, and fresh, well bled brake fluid will generate more stopping power than the average driver ever needs.
