I try to get as close to zero as possible. I would rather not give uncle sam a interest free loan.

Is there any way that would earn you less money than your return would be?

It is, and I feel the same way. It's like an extra paycheck once you're done. However, if you look at the big picture, getting it spread out evenly is better for you even though it feels negligible.

It can be considered better in the way that it makes you more frugal in the way you spend. However, some people probably make financial plans based on an expected tax return... Which can put you in the hole quickly

Yeah that's why I don't use that money for money I have to have.. Don't get me wrong my last tax return got my truck but it's not like I used a bunch if money and needed my tax money for my main bills.. It's nice to have it spread if u really need it then but also if u don't need it u can make it that u zero out and just put that extra money to a savings... Smart way to save it and know it's all there when u want it

Oh there's nothing wrong with using it to buy a truck. Lol just like you said, bills and all.

Here's an x2 for when I said it's nice to have it at the end. I know a couple that files in such a way (I don't know how) that more is taken from their check and they get a big refund at the end of the year. They are very frugal and don't spend a lot during the year, which is not always a good thing, but it's so they get a big check later. Not saying that's what I would do, just sharing.

While we're talking finance, who here pays their own cable, phone, internet etc bills? No need to answer, but read these to save some money. We did it before I even read this and it worked quite nicely. Clicking that first link is probably the most productive thing you could do on this site!

Apparently the Ford Ranger looks a lot like a Tacoma or even a Tundra in Scotland.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
That looks so weird. Seems like there's not much in the way of windows. I wonder how the blind spots are on that.
