The AP website makes no mention of the carrying/load capacity of the Standard Leaf Pack. I assume it's more than OEM, but assumptions have gotten me into interesting situations in the past.

I have Fox 2.5 extended shocks in the rear and Dakar leaf packs unmodified at the moment. The truck is unloaded most of the time. I'm looking for a pack that will ride nice and smooth unloaded but can handle a decent amount of weight (about 1 week's worth of camping gear at a time) when I do make a trip. Ultimately there will be a bed rack and RTT on the back, so it'd be nice if they could handle that, too. Would the Standards fit the bill?

If you plan on a roof top tent I would highly recommend the expos! I love mine!

It's not much. With an aftermarket rear wraparound bumper with spare tire carrier the packs sit flat. Add any weight and they go negative. If you're putting any weight back there regularly then go with the expo packs. If you have a shackle flip go Alcan.

EDIT: I have a shackle flip. You won't experience the same with a stock setup...Pay no attention to me...

I'm thinking I might just pull the 3rd leaf from my Dakars. I don't carry weight regularly, but when I do it's usually a full load. That's a tough use case and I don't really want to swap leaf packs, even 3-4 times a year.

I pulled my 3rd and was fine. Then I got a mid-weight RTT (Kukeman Ruggedized) and put the third back. 3 months later I installed the Dakar AAL. Be prepared to maybe do the same thing.

Yea, that sounds like a good plan to me. I don't mind making permanent-ish changes. I just don't want to swap leaf packs knowing for sure I'll be swapping them again. Plus, pulling the 3rd and maybe putting it back is "free" compared to getting a new pack.

Did you lose much height on the rear when you pulled the 3rd?

Not much, but I was still pretty light. It was just for ride comfort. RTT+swingout bumper made the additional leafs necessary.

Arb front bumper, warn winch, All Pro rear bumper, OME up front, OME and All Pro Standard in Back, ARB locker, 34 x 10.5 KO2's, 17" Level 8 Trackers, and fancy single piece driveshaft.
I have the All Pro standards. They ride better with more weight. With my current setup I am probably carrying 500 to 600 extra pounds when camping. (Camper shell, 10 gal water, jack, gear, etc.) The springs provide a really good ride while carrying that weight, although they are almost flat. Also, the truck is very close to a tail low stance at that point. They ride pretty stiff with no weight in the bed. Before I got the camper shell, I used to carry around sand bags just to improve the ride. Sand bags are really cheap, so it might be worth trying that before going to the work of removing a leaf from your Dakars.

Not to thread jack, but quick question. I have the all pro standards that I'm looking to install shortly and will be carrying a bedrack and Rtt at all times. I have about 2" of lift up front. Will I sit even when loaded down for camping with about 150 more pounds? No rear bumper yet.

That is perfect. Everything I needed to know!

One last question: Will the leaves wear out earlier always carrying the extra 200 lbs? Or should I not worry about it until I get the rear bumper?

That's what I needed to know. Is there an AAL I could put in the pack possibly?

My only other question is if you can do the "Lola" 2.0 kit or the Rear Bilstein Kit minus the shocks.
Basically just the rear springs, u-bolt flip, rear brake lines etc.
    Thanks!
