I had a long convo with this a guy at Ruff Stuff Specialties. FOA had some initial quality control issues and customer service issues when they were first extablished. He said they are doing much better and runs them on his rock rig. They use older valve technology which isnt as nice as some of the newer shocks but works very well. He sold me :notsure:

Anyways, I just got some FOA rear resi shocks and so far I like how they look (not mounted or used yet so can't really talk...). Sure its not the quality you would expect from Icon, FOX, etc... but I think they are correctly priced. I just can't afford $1200 coilovers and don't weel hard enough to justify it.

Its either these or a new set of Bilstein 5100's.

I also got an oil cooler to put pre turbo post feed. I'm thinking about getting one more for the P/S pump because it will be/has been seeing a lot of extra heat due to higher RPMs (boosts best friend).
I was going to get a 170f thermo, but doesn't that just mean that it will open sooner pumping in coolant from the radiator that hasn't had a chance to cool down to OEM temps yet?
It kinda seems like the overall temp of the whole system would stay the same regardless of when the thermo opens up.

Ive been looking. FOA is my plan if I buy new but if a set of extended length coil overs show up ill probably jump on it.

Problem is I dont have much money to spend on this. I get my bonus in Feb so thats my target buy month for the coil overs and front bumper.

They better be for that much! I really want a bumper though. If I have to, Ill just settle for a new pair of 5100's :notsure:. I dont know why so hostile towards FOA. Ive read of plenty of ppl loving them and I already have a pair; dont look half bad...

You should change out your break fluid before that mess clogs up your master cylinder. Mine was the same color and I ended up having to replace the calipers, lines and MC.
It's super easy to drain and refill.

That IC setup looks clean man.

Finnished the second hole and just buttoned it all up and everything fits perfect (with stock bumper). The top tether is adjustable to change the angle and position of the IC so Im pretty happy how it worked up.

The brake fluid is pretty new (less than 30k). Must be the camera, isn't that black in person (did a flush when I installed the Tundra brakes.

Not sure yet. It will be tight but I think it might work

Bumper style will make a difference....but from what I have seen..I doubt it.

I cut down the center beam and have about a half inch to shift the IC back. I have about 1" up and down and .5" back adjustment :notsure: but yeah, will depend on the bumper...

Looking good. I have that exact intercooler style. They just magically fit in that spot very nicely. I did flip my up just because I already have a tube bumper that would not allow me to run mine low like yours. Clean hole saw. Mine is a pretty ugly sawzall just because I needed a silicone coupling instead of tubing to go through and didn't want to slice the coupling in half on the core support.

I wonder if the bumper will limit the air exposure to the IC pretty drastically

Probably will. Ive been thinking on some fans but will have to see how much space with the bumper. I think the first step is to just get this damn thing installed :D
