I wouldn't worry that much about IC efficiency. Not unless your doing track stuff and what not. This setup will get you well over 300hp anyways

How much boost are you planning on running again? If you're under 10psi, is an intercooler even necessary? I mean, assuming you're using a turbo that's in it's efficiency range, I wouldn't think that an intercooler is even needed on a low boost setup.

Im more concerned with crawling in 4lo (high RPMs/low air speed). Not a big issue but sometime down the road I might want the option to turn on a fan :notsure: Just something Ive been brain storming really.
No more than 8-12 and yes, probably don't need an intercooler (specially not that big ass one that came with the kit).

An e fan on the radiator sure. But ton the IC not gonna do shit for crawling anyways. All about gearing for crawling. You will almost never see boost crawling.

You're and auto so monitoring your tranny tempts while crawling is much much more important. The motor will be fine

Yes. Ive been thinking about an efan but not sure. Was kind of turned off by the idea initially, we'll see.

I was monitoring my RPMs last offroad and see 2-3k a lot while crawling. Engine temps go up and I just want to make sure the turbo doesn't compound the issue. Again, just something in the back of my mind Ive been thinking about.

    :woot: pipe work finally!

It gonna work out or gonna need some custom work?

Also why not put the tire carrier closer to the cab?

The high lift mounts between the carrier and cab. This was as close as I could get it and comfortably remove the lift.

Not a lot of room for the pipes huh? Good to see progress.:) Which side is the input of the IC?

No, its tight. The input is on the passenger. I can get the driver side measured and cut down now but Ill need the turbo mounted to get final measurements on the passenger side.

Is the turbo going to be hard mounted or just connected and supported by the pipes?

3" pipe doesn't give a lot of room for mounts and smooth bends. Good luck.

BTW the Tundra brakes are on hold atm, gotta replace my lower ball joints this weekend. Maintenance before upgrades.

    Connected to the headers.

You need a hand? If you dont mind company I have some LBJ's to install too that ive been holding off on. I got an impact and a puller for the tie rod ends too if you need. We can do yours first unless you want to learn on my truck :p

BTW, did you end up with MOOG or OEM? I have MOOG and would love to compare with OEM.

This is true haha. I'm going to consider putting header wrap on my post-IC tubing to insulate the cool air within. I've read that something so simple can bring down the IAT by 40 degrees. That equals quite a bit of lost power

Hmm, never thought of that, thanks for the tip. You get your FIC 6 yet? They go for pretty cheap on ebay if you are willing to risk it

    I ordered OEM.

If you don't mind making the drive, I'll probably start early.
