Truck is good now, just need an O2 sensor :notsure: Don't need no franken-derpy fab (unless he puts in a stroked 2JZ :p... free of charge...).

While I would love to get a manual, I kind of like the auto when off road. Its so easy.

Trans is good though; I think the AEM just had a bad flash which was screwing up the ECU. Yesterday I was testing out different fuel profiles to see if that would help the AFR's before the trans went wacky. Going to reflash and try again.

    What him say ^^^

Wouldn't have thought tranny would be that sensitive on vacuum, apparently it is, of course, wouldn't have thought the IC plumbing would be messing with vacuum that much either.. Good luck

edit: Interpretted FIC as front mount intercooler... disregard

So wait...let me get this straight. They wanted to charge you more money after you told them you wanted them to fix their sub-par work? OR did you just bring it in and say fix this?

Yes and no. I made it clear I wanted warranty work; they were just being shady ass dicks. You should have heard the crap they were telling me...

The owner was pretty cool though after he heard my end of the story (and I offered to showed him the pics of the previous two jobs).

I think I recommended these guys to you in the past... I would take that recommendation back but I think you were smarter than me and never had plans to go there in the first place :p...

Sounds like you should have been a dick upfront...they we're trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

No need to got there. They also botched a co-workers brand new T4R, the install and even got grease all over his headliner. There are ZERO shops I trust in the 757.

Being a dick wouldn't help :notsure: I just waited for the owner and explained it to him. It was apparent in his eyes that the story he got from his workers was total bullshit.

I think I would trust and recommend Ramey Built. They did some very good work on the exhaust and took a lot of pride in it. I saw a lot of other work they did and its all pretty damn impressive. The owner races an 8s civic

Btw, they still f-ed it up and didn't weld all the way around the bar  If I can make it this weekend, I might need to barrow a welder to put two quick beads down...

Yeah, on a 7000+rpm Supra with boost turned up, china turbo's tend to do that. It looks like the waste gate was either set too high or defective. You can hear the turbo max out and probably had some on-compression surge. Probably some users error in that video as well.

Either way, on a 5400 rom truck and low boost, I doubt I will have an issue :p

One thing that i have seen on a few Chinese turbos, journal bearing, was that people had to pull apart the turbos before installing them. There would be large shavings inside the bearing housing.

I believe that Redlantern found some in his as well. Turbo'd 1GR.

Yup. Here it is. A common problem, it seems, while searching the internet. Could have played a factor in the 2JZ YouTube video. That, or a number of other things.
