Yeah, winch is out of the question. Ok though because I already have a wench :p (until she reads this post)...

Here's the bracket. Its alu so just used a ball hammer and the side of a table to bend. Square to check angles.

The whole bumper has been an issue for me. I need new leafs and want new gears and $$$ is tight. I dont see myself needing a winch all that much...

Worse comes to worse, Ill probably settle for this:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1s...eeler-lower-tube-bumpers-w-skid-1st-gens.html

    But I really want this:

Haha... I got plenty of money, just have to budget what I put towards the truck (wife was unhappy with some purchases). I saved my "budget" for about 1.5 years for a TRD SC setup.

I still have a bit left in the money pot but that's going towards tuning (its a bit low after the $700 VB job though :(). I have everything i need, just need time to put it on.

I did it the right way

Currently saving again for one or a few of the following: leafs, 4.56 gears, and front bumper. Other wants include bed rack and RTT but thats probably a bit further down the road.

If you want to get crazy, a LT front and MT rear suspension setup is on my "when I win the lottery" list.

Don't do a mid rear setup with a LT front..point less. Your rear setup will buck and slow ya down. Go full LT  or just keep it all mid..just saying.

Be a sweet setup you. It'll all happen

All jokes aside, thanks for the manual. I got all the ECU wires mapped out except for some grounds and the cam sensor. Got to call this guy on how to wire the cams and figure out which ground is a Signal ground and which is a Power ground. Then its time to do some soldering.

Ill probably do all the "intercept" and if you can help with the "Tap" wires, Id appreciate it.

On another note, how do you like the CVs? I blown 3 boots since I put the Eibachs on. I need to reconfigure my CV situation

I tore an outer boot already :(. On my list of things to replace. Ill probably do the boot slide mod and see how that helps. I have high angle inner boots that seen to be holding up very nice. No wear marks yet.

any idea if the plugs are the same or how difficult it will be to splice the right connectors? why 97? I had a guy tell me '99 bc it was "a faster ecu"

needs to be a 97 as 95-97s are basically the same..98-04 are a tiny bit different and definitely can't be an 04.

Plugs right in, no mods needed.

Just needs to be exactly what you have, just out of a 97.

    So a 5vzfe 4x4 manual. or 2x4 auto...or whatever you have.

Dude I had the same issue with my 96. A 97 ECU has the least amount of differences with the bonus of being able to handle boost. They changed too much around in the later years for it to work %100 properly. My 96 Tacoma now has a 97 4runner ECU (both manual 5 speed 3.4 v6) and I'm rocking 5 psi of boost no problems at all. No splicing or anything just direct plug-in replace

I got some rebuilds from CVJ with the high flex inner boot option. I a bit $$$... :(

Recomend doing it yourself if you can.

Yeah, CVJ rebuilds OEM axles and charges you a core turn in fee for you old axles.
