Not yet. Doing some maintenance this weekend and get new waste gate next week. I still have the down pipe off and figured its easier to leave it off and put it back on after new waste gate.

Got to get some work on the new Accord too... New job is killing me but damn Im happy to be working again. Wife is too, I was driving her up the wall :p

Helping NOAA develop a maintenance program for their boats and doing some Navy contracting on the side. Work for a small company called Cardinal Point Captains. So far its pooring through publications and crawling through engineering spaces to locate and document engineering systems, etc... Not the best work but lots of potential. Plan to get my 100 ton license one of these days, maybe divers cert as well.

Got a nice 5-speed 1999 accord. Just doing oil, plugs, and O2's. Got rid of the 1980 Tercel :(

The valve seat wasn't lining up. I took it out this weekend and you can see the soot from the exhaust leaking by.

Dang that sucks. Have you driven in boost at all? It may just be normal unless you can definitely hear it.

Nope. Maybe 1 psi but not enough to open the waste gate...

Not normal. Waste gate should not leak even a little. Its basically an exhaust leak.

I haven't read all these pages unfortunatley, but yeah that "fire ring" thing has be in the wastegate properly or you won't be making any boost. What psi spring do you have installed? I just got mine going again a few days ago with a 3,000 stall ,new 2" alum tubing, and a 28" FMIC. vroom vroom

Keep in mind that your wastegate is going to open way sooner than when your boost gauge reads the pressure that your spring/controler is set at because the wastegate boost reference is connected to the charge side of the turbo and not the intake mani. Sometimes I can here my wastegate open when my boost gauge reads slightly below ambient pressure (0) because the turbo is actually pumping 4-5 PSI pre-TB.

It leaked by at idle. When I put in the seafoam, there was smoke coming out of the wastegate pipe.

Lol, I Seafoam'd this weekend and that stuff will point out every tiny exhaust leak you have.

Busy as hell with new job. Got a few minutes a day into redoing the wiring. Originally pieced some shit together to pass inspection...

Got some wire braid and quick disconnects and a 3 to 2 wire relay. Wired it so the corners come on with the parking light but will flash if the turn signal is on.
