I see. I thought all they sold were the custom length ones that are $2k. I was thinking of a different company

AEM FIC wired and tested. Special thanks to Ron (Rons01TRD) who did the wiring.

No codes and runs great, but a few tweaks I have to work out. RPM signal isnt reading; the AEM gauge reads a constant 12000 RPMs. And my Ultra Gauge no longer shuts off when I turn the truck off :notsure:.

you'll probably have to get rid of the Ultra gauge. It screwed with my dads UConn on his 2nd gen and would make it stall completely randomly.

Damn. Truck was dead this morning (I may have hooked the FIC up to the constant 12V line vice the ignition power line, will test this in a sec).

    Also getting two codes:

P0100 (MAF) and P1300 (ignition circuit)...

To get all the bugs out. Im not going to run it 100%, just testing. Its pretty easy to put on and remove as long as you dont mind loosing your glove box :p.

yea thats what gadet told him was doing it. Since he has removed it and switch to a scangauge and has 0 issues.

But that was also before he got the Ucon update. Might have been fixed with the update.

You sir are a special kind of crazy :D

Anyways, I figured it out. The Ultra Gauge was the culprit. Unhooked it and no more codes and the injector duty cycle gauges started reading properly on the FIC.

I also forgot to calibrate the FIC RPM gauge... fixed that so now Im not reading 12000 RPM's anymore...

Been driving around for the last two weeks on "E" trying to find a good day to drop the gas tank. If work is called off tomorrow (snow storm) I might just do it tomorrow...

Yeah man, wiring is not my cup of tea. I can solder/heat shrink when I want to but dont find pleasure in it

After talking it over, Im going to keep it installed and run some data logs as I drive. Im using a Eee PC 1025c (not bad when you upgrade the RAM and cut down some of Windows bloat) for tuning and data logging. Ill probably go ahead and start building the MAPS as well (and may even make some NA tunes for practice).

No worries, the base cal is just zeroed out so the FIC isnt making any adjustments currently.

This should be the last purchase for the build :D: http://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics®-T...393813469&sr=8-11&keywords=netbook+car+mounts

Ok got an issue and need some help. This has started ever since Ihooked up the AEM FIC.
When I shut my truck off, I usually dont have any dash lights on,but sometimes my air bag light stays on. If it doesnt turn on initially, when Iget back to my truck later it is usually on (I don't know how long it takes toturn on, but eventually it just turns on).

The issue is that I think its causing my truck battery to die (Ive found thetruck dead twice now). I didnt know a dash light overnight could drain abattery, but pending another issue, I think that is what’s happening.

Anyone know why the light keeps coming on? Could it be due to theglove box, etc... is still pulled out (pretty much driving with the ECM exposedand wires hanging out to cont troubleshooting as issues come up).

I'm pretty sure it's more than your airbag light. It's possible your ECM is powered the entire time your truck is turn off through the FIC jumper. If you are picking up any power for your AEM unit or you are creating a ground for power something is still powered on. Remove the FIC jumper and reconnect ECM if your trucks battery is not dead we need to go back through the wiring.

I checked the 12V in wire to the FIC and got no power w/ ign off. Further, verfied it was correctly connected to the "Ignition 12V" ECM wire. Ill check the rest of the wires for power.

Easiest way to troubleshoot is to remove the FIC altogether and see if the problem persists. If not, it's the FIC wiring, if it does something else is on.
