Standing by for the comedy about to unfold when this thing hits the streets

Let me rephrase that... IF this thing ever hits the streets ;)

How's that shock mount from Production Offroad holding up ?

His delivery leaves much to be desired

As for why a Chinese turbo, like I said, I may get something different down the road, but lets be honest; do I really need to drop $1k for low boost on a stock engine that red lines at 5400rpms?

Jeez Chris, I've tried being nice to you, I asked a simple question. You're one of those guys that likes to re-invent the wheel with people going through the same redundant struggle though, so I won't sugar coat anymore..... I heard your real quality wiring mods have gone and fried your ECU..... Could you possible have anymore issues or excuses for not getting this thing on the road or out to a real trail ? Just another example of a dumbshit not knowing what the hell he is doing.

For your dumb, ignorant, unobservant, lazy with the internet @ss
www.cheapturbo.com been in business over 10 years ...... And because I know you're too senseless to look, you can get a Garrett turbo from them for under $700, yeah, a company that has a real long term reputation in the business.

    How was that delivery ?

Yeah, I had to work some major overtime yesterday so didn't get the time I needed to get ready for the weekend. Today and tomorrow are full days so even if I went, i'd have to leave Friday night...

All good, install goes slow but turbo goes fast. I'm sure it will be done soon.

Yeah, Im just tidying some things up, getting rid of rats nests, replacing zip ties with more permanent solutions...

Got some wires crossing over the down pipe that I need to reroute. I have them zip tied out of the way and wrapped them in some sheet metal as a heat shield for now but don't feel safe wheeling like that. With the slow crawl and little air flow, things might get a bit hot so want to be %100 sure everything is properly configured.

    Just need some damn time...

Mechanic's wire is your friend Chris. I've crawled all over colorado with my setup and the "frying heat" thing is as nonexistent as it was stock. Just wire tie everything away and be done with it. Literally nothing has gotten burned with no blanket except for my cruis control cable... and that was because I didn't notice it resting on the turbo exhaust housing for a few weeks :D

Any news or progress on your turbo? And what do I need to do a rear disc brake and tundra front swap?

Not sure about rear brakes but check on the 1st gen section for Tundra brake swaps. There's lots of info on them and unfortunately there's too much to really cover here.
Dyno may be sooner than later :spy:

Found some stuff, 2005 tundra brake kit, front, $320 from ebay.....has calipers, pads, slotted/drilled rotors. Thought you did yours too. Saw it earlier in your build. And what he said above.....dyno ninja stuff. We seen your sneaky avatar.

I got my calipers off a wrecked sequoia and rebuilt them. Got new pads and new rotors (slotted but not drilled). I also got the wheelersoffroad extended length steal braided brake lines (def a must, btw).

If you get sequoia calipers, the stock bolts are too long by about a thread or two. A thick washer will fix that.

Thinking I need to wait because I have stock 15" wheels. Don't know if they will fit? Will most likely do them when I put on 35s unless someone knows if they will fit on 98 trd stock wheels (15s).
