I'd go with a dual pass radiator with welded end tanks. Bigger isn't always better. On a dual pass rad, most of the heat has dissipated by the end of the first pass. The quality of the Mishimoto rads is top notch and all TIG welded.

Trying to stick with OEM. I don't want to get too overloaded here. I just picked up the flex-a-lite fan too so don't want a headache figuring out all of that.

Got a lot of work ahead of me after the timing belt. Fuel injectors, plugs, find the vacuum leak (I think it the IAC so should be easy), alternator, and new wiring if I have time. Got to get this thing together by May at the latest.

With my accomplishment track record, I'm on schedule for about the same time Jon gets his engine together; probably sometime in 2017... :D

Gonna have to put out the local SOS when parts get in to get this thing rolling.

So pulled the TB out, IAC was gummed up. How does that happen? Took all day and an entire can of TB cleaner to clean it out. Got all my parts in minus the new radiator and fan controller. Looks like I work next weekend but hopefully will get some work the following weekend.

    Large projects planned so far:

    -Timing belt, water pump, etc...
    -Oil pump
    -New radiator
    -Flex-a-light fan and fan controller
    -New injectors (OEM)
    -Spark Plugs

Hey buddy. How exactly did you route your catch can? I know off the pcv between the intake. Thinking you convinced me to run one. I have one in the garage but never got around to putting it on.

I just ran the PCV to a vented catch can. The rear vent I used a check valve that only allowed air to flow in and capped it with a small filter from autozone. Pretty easy.

Yeah, I did the check valve already. I may have to put this thing on sooner now. Thanks man

Don't do the check valve until you have the PCV run removed from your charged pipes. Otherwise you can blow seals. If you have the PCV connected pre turbo, you should be ok. Depending on how well your catch can does, you might get some smell in your vents so I'm planning on running the vent off of the catch can down under the body of the truck so it doesn't vent in my engine bay.

Pretty sure Gio and you told me to run a check valve. Is that for a different Vaccum line? It was to the back right of the manifold. So should I vent it (catch can) to atmosphere? Then did you cap the tb or run a filter to it?

Yeah, I did a check valve with a small filter capped for the vent on the rear of the motor. But you need to make sure the PCV valve is not connected to charged pipes; IE the pipes its connected too don't ever see boost.

You don't need a vented catch can, you can run the run to pre turbo pipes if you wish but if the catch can doesn't do a good job of filtering out the oil, you can gum up your turbo.

So did you run the pcv back through the intake after the catch can or just vent to air?

Mines vented. I still get the fumes in the cabin vents from time to time so Ill probably run the vent into the fender or something.

Its seized on the crank. I pried very carefully buy not careful enough apparently and heard a snap. I thought it was loose and did a victory lap around my garage until I saw what the snap was...

At this point, I'm thinking C4 and start over.

Actually, tbh, things have been pretty smooth up until now. Just need to get this pulley off and should have a new timing belt by next week (assuming I can source a new part).
