On the pulley? Haven't tried yet. A little room.

What really needs heat is my damn garage; its in the 30's and tomorrow the 20's and this weekend the teens. Not much work is going to get done one way or the other.

Got to research this part number and the P/N for my new oil pump seals (fucking thing didn't come with any seals  )

Put a heat gun on the pulley, it should expand before the crank then gently tap on it with a hammer. If that doesn't work spray some Kroil or PB Blaster penetrating oil on it and let it sit, then repeat. Good Luck! I'm busy with the kids this weekend or I would come by and give you a hand.:(

I soaked it with some liquid wrench. Not worried, no hurry. Probably not going to get much done this weekend; too cold. I think we're expecting 1-3" tomorrow.

In other news, going to have to remove the oil pan to replace the oil pump. FML. I think its just the relief valve stuck open; if I can fix that, I might not replace the oil pump after all... But I'm not sure I want to risk it. Fuck.

I'm curious if you can really tell the difference with the light weight pulley

Couldn't say for sure. I know the stock pulley is heavy has shit (10lbs at least) due to the harmonic balancer. The issue with the lighter pulley is you lose the balancer and you'll get more vibration from the motor. Some say this can damage the engine; I couldn't say. TBH, its too expensive, Ill probably get a dorman replacement for $90.

Turbo is on the floor right now. Redoing the oil feed and drain. Going to get some custom hoses made probably.

I didn't like the drain; it didn't allow me to adjust the angle of the turbo to be straight up and down (oil feed and drain) and oil was pooling in the turbo and leaking into the intake. Also didn't like the cheap feed line.

I'm confused. Whats wrong? I think you're water cooled like me. Turbo should be clocked right? Mine is clocked like 30° or so.

Some say the oil drain should be straight up and down to allow all the oil to drain. If not, it will pool and leak into your intake.

Some say the oil drain should be just a little clocked to allow a tiny bit of oil to pool for startup to insure the turbo is well oiled.

My is clocked way too much and I get a lot of oil pooling and seepage into my intake. The oil drain fitting is too bulky to clock it up and down as it hits the exhaust flange.

Got a local shop that does custom oil feed lines/drain lines and I may go to them.

Yeah, mine hit the flange too. Thats the main reason why I had to clock it. For however it worked, the way it ended up being clocked to clear the t3t4 was perfect for me with the coolant setup. Sucks that it leaks. Are all the bolts on your turbo tight?

Yeah, they're tight. Yours doesn't leak? Weird.
