I'm sorry if I missed it somewhere in these 80 some odd pages.... but how in the hell do you get the lower rearmost nut on the passenger side turbo manifold? There's NO clearance unless you have to remove the starter. Am I missing something obvious. CX instruction PDF doesn't mentions it, but then they're pretty vague.

I think I mentioned it. I had to remove the starter. Not too hard. You have to remove the rear most lower bolt (IIRC) on the motor mount for clearance to remove the starter. Even then, its close and a PITA.

I removed the starter without having to remove any engine mount bolts fwiw. I even left the positive cable attached. I just unbolted and pulled it out and out of the way. Of course you're already done so I guess I'm stating for redundancy. Thanks for the reply.

Paul man, how's it been? How the kids?

Truck as been in the garage for a better part of the year. Doing a front end rebuild and redoing some of the turbo plumping. If all goes well, should be on the road within the next month but we've all heard that line before

I can't pay people to build my truck; doing it myself in whatever spare time I can find. With three kids (one only a few months) not much time laying around :p

Finished up the HO alternator and new wiring. Taped and loomed up. Thanks @Blackdawg for the breaker suggestion and alternator notes, worked out great! I was able to use the power steering pump belt but just barely.

New oil drain line for the turbo, this hose is the tits. Most flexible steal braided hose I've ever worked with. Had to grind down the hose fitting and the flange to get the turbo to clock further over for a more up and down oil feed and drain but its still not perfect.

Just need to find a welder to attach the new drain plug into my oil pan and I can start putting this thing back together!

Lol! Maybe you should save up as much as your truck has been broken the last three years!

Pan is off, prepped, just need a slightly bigger hole drilled out and welded. Had to remove the pan to put on a new oil pump.
Probably going to try a muffler shop sometime this week.
    You would think :p
