I noticed the new 22 tundras feature start-stop. I don’t have it on my 21 Tacoma and was wondering if anyone has a 2022 Tacoma if it has it?

I had a Jeep with that crap on it. Pushing that button became part of my start routine. Sorry to see it on a Toyota, thrilled my Taco doesn't have it.

Yeah my 2019 Wrangler has it. It has become muscle memory to start it up and push the button.

Same... unless I was in heavily congested traffic, 99% of the time it was manually switched off for me--couldnt get used to it.

Wife's RAV4 has it. I'm not a fan of it.

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
Ditto. My wife's '18 Escape had it and it drove me batshit crazy! We dumped it to get the new Taco. Disappointed to hear the RAV4 has it, I hadn't noticed when looking as that's what we want to get if things ever settle down. I'll by the delete harness before I pick up the RAV.

My '22 TRD Off Road Automatic doesn't have it. I believe no '22 Tacomas have it. Someone feel free to correct me if any version of the Tacoma does.

Wasn't planning on going hybrid with the rav4 but I drove the gas and hybrid versions, and the start-stop pushed me over to the hybrid since it doesn't have it.

I have read a handful of people have bought some eliminator from eBay and it seems to work, most of the time. I was hoping the company linked above would have one made. I emailed them awhile back about a rav4 and they told me they need a rav4(borrow) for about a day to make one.

I had this on my Wrangler and hated it. It runs a dual battery system to be able to supply power when the engines off and the secondary battery crapped out after 5 months of ownership (two days after i returned from a solo trip to Valley of the Gods in the middle of nowhere Utah) and the vehicle couldn't be jumped by a high powered battery pack and had to be towed to the dealer. It was one of the many reason i finally made the switch from being a lifelong wrangler owner to a tacoma as i dont want to risk being stranded in the middle of the desert as batteries here in AZ maybe last a couple years at most

I don't have it on my '22 Tacoma, but our Highlander has it. Toyota's implementation is really good, actually. It allows you to control it with the brake pedal, which is a lot nicer than other brands. You need to press the brake pedal all the way to the floor for the auto start/stop to activate. Of course, the other alternative is turning it off completely with the button, but I always forget.

its stupid and annoying to be sitting at red light it turns green and wait for it to start up. Sometimes you need to get on the gas and get into traffic and not wait for it. Most of the time we turn the stupid thing off anyhow. But its super annoying when we forget

Some brands work better than others. Out of the cars i've driven with it GM's and Mercedes systems are good, Ford and Honda are annoying, and Jeep was terrible. Neither my Tacoma or our 2021 Mazda have it, but I am not opposed to it if it works quickly.

I would assume the 4th gen Tacoma would be the first time it will appear in a Tacoma.
