So my truck began giving me trouble when I was driving roughly 50mph and suddenly lost all power, then it came right back after letting off the pedal and pressing it again. I replaced the Mass airflow sensor and this problem kept happening on occasion. Recently this happened again and the same day when I tried to start the truck it cut off after 2 seconds and then started the second attempt but idles very shaky. This has happened every time Ive started the truck for 5 days now. Anyone have a clue what the issue could be?

my first guess is the fuel pump. You can verify that she is running out of fuel a few different ways. My first thought is to take the fuel filter off... under the truck, D/S, you will see it. See if any gas comes out when you loosen the lines/remove the filter. Put a hose on the line coming from the rear and crank her over. The fuel pump only runs when the motor is turning over.

The Check engine light is not on??

The fuel system is about the only thing that does not trip a code.

Could be a simple as a loose ground .

Had you had any work done before this started??

Funny enough the MAF was somehow loose causing this issue, it resolved after getting it on tight. Thanks fellas.
