start up whining on 2009 2.7

i have a question about a relitively loud whine that my 09 2.7 standard, reg cab makes after sitting for a few days. this noise only lasts two to four seconds but its definitly not a normal engine sound. just wondering if anyone has a similar problem and if they could help me diagnose this issue. thank you.

 

Have you checked the slack in the fan belt ? It could be the timing belt just warming up, with that being said mine does NOT make that noise, maybe a call to the dealer is in order.

I have an 06 2.7 that revs to 2k rpm for a minute and then settles down.

Yours sounds like it may be different than what mine does.

 

I have an 06 that does the same thing when its sits for a few days or when its cold outside it only last about 10 or 15 seconds then quits and wont do it again til the truck sits for a long time, I checked ps fluid, belt, and pulleys so far
