I would have the injectors cleaned at the dealer, cause they have the adapters needed to tie into the fuel line to clean the injectors.. Usually runs around $~90

It's possible that you have just one injector that is leaking/occasionally sticking. Rather than having the dealership clean the injectors, it might be worth using that money to have them diagnose it. We do the injector cleaning service at the Ford dealership I work at, but I'm not really convinced it does much, especially if there's already a problem. Just my opinion.

About all that can be done is run some Techtron Fuel additive through the gas tank. If you have a leaking injector or it is sticking open or closed the only option is a replacement.

Injectors are assembled in a clean room environment. There is a 1 micron mesh filter in the inlet to the injector. There is also usually a 1 micron internal filter also. How are you going to flush anything out if there is something inside anyway. Easy answer is - you aren't. At best a product such as Techron or Seafoam will clean the external orifice plate holes on the outside of the injector.

Good question, however running cleaner through the injectors has seemed to improve the situation.
