I took off all of the stickers and plastic, TRD included, as it keeps getting torn up.

    I think it looks better.

the tailgate wasnt as bad as the emblems on the driver and pass doors. still got a little bit of stuff to get off the drivers side. it pulled some of the paint from the driver door also.

Did you have any issues with the paint fade or the outline of the badge showing after you removed the badges? I have a '98 and that is the only thing holding me back from stripping her... I think if I buff the shit out of it after it would be ok..idk

yeah you can tell a difference from where the emblems were at and the rest of the paint. im gonna try and give it a good wax job when i have time and if that dont work then im gonna get her buffed and see if that changes.

i used some finger nail polish remover and poured some in a bowl and then put the same amount of water and it worked just fine. i also used some rubbing alcohol and seemed to work half wat decent on the small stuff.

so if I decide I want to just black them out, would I take them off paint them, then epoxy the bastards back on? and if so how are you guys marking them? Sorry, not trying to jack your thread... just curious.
