28003 I posted I was gonna do the same at about the same time. Just to let you know Project" No more fat ass" for me was a total loss and not in a good way I didnt do a fucking thing I ate drank and was merry. So on that note I have given up and decided that if God want me to lose weight he (or she gotta be nice there are some chicks on this site) will give me a fucking tape worm. Good luck to you.

look into Starting Strength. one of the best starting workout programs out there.

you are missing some important movements in that workout - Pullups, dips, pushups, SQUATS!!... just those four exercises, plus the dead lifts and presses will destroy that work out. Pullups will build up your biceps quicker than any number of curls.

also - GOOD JOB getting back in the gym. i have been doing crossfit for a while and love it. i have lost little weight, but made tremendous gains in strength. reason for low weight loss is crap diet.

No matter what program you chose - good luck!!!

yeah man keep it up! if u could get back into lifting the weights, i think u could loose the weight a bit easier. according to my personal trainer book, u can burn 500-600 calories per work-out, if it is a real tense (heavy-lift) work-out!

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
Its pretty easy to lose weight. After I got an office job I gained nearly 20 pounds ( I'm kind of a small guy so 20 lbs is a lot for me) but anyway, All I did was join a gym and run on the treadmill 20-30 minutes a day. I lost all that weight in about 2 months. Since then I've learned to exercise every day. I ride a bicycle during lunch break 20 minutes a day. That keeps me in the same condition. The best part is that its free.

Eating only one small meal a day is not the way to lose weight. You need to eat several small meals spread out over the day. Otherwise you will fall off the wagon and "pig out" and eat more in one junk food sitting, than you would have eaten in your small meals....

Good luck on losing weight though...

Your specs match mine, but I'm 53. Good luck to you....I KNOW you can do it. When I was your age I used to run 5 miles every night, then cool off with 10-20 laps in the pool. Then I discovered marriage, intercourse without condoms, babies and then PIZZA. It's been hell since.

Please do not eat one meal a day. Your body will go into starvation mode and you will find it very difficult to lose the fat. Your body will revert to burning muscle for energy as it is much more efficient.

When it comes to weight loss, think of the Tortoise and the Hare; slow and steady wins the race.

Cut the corners out a trash bag and a hole in the top, put it on under a T-shirt, and go out and run in 90 degree heat, with a hug bottle of water. Drink copiously, then drink some more and sweat like a PIG in heat being chased by a pack of wolves. Eat a HUGE breakfast, a small lunch and a tiny dinner. Then do it again, and again, and again.

X2!!! I think it's great that you're willing to do what it takes to get the job done but it seems as though you need to educate yourself on how the body uses food. Plathora is dead right.

To lose weight you need to keep your metabolism going all day. Eating 1 meal a day brings your metabolism to a screeching halt. You body thinks it's not going to get anymore food (which apparently is true in your case) so it does indeed go into starvation mode and this is not what you want.

I've lost ~25lbs in the last 7 weeks by eating 6 - 7 times a day. And that's even with cheating on the weekends. My days basically look like this:
    6:00 - Activia drinkable
7:30 - South Beach PB or choc bar
9:00 - 6 egg whites or Muscle Milk light or fruit
11:00 - protein bar or chicken breast or tuna or beans or turk bacon
    1:00 - V8
3:00 - Muscle Milk light or fruit
5-6:00 - 1 portion high protein meal (meat of some sort) and veg

I usually come in ~1300 calories and everything I'm eating as you can see is small portions and keeps my body burning calories. I've been trying not to eat past 6:00pm but my stomach is growling when I go to sleep so I think I may start downing some sort of "good treat" at 8 or so to keep my body burning calories into the night. I started out at 234 and am now 209. These are my dehydrated 1st thing in the morning weights so you could add roughly 3 pounds to each.

You will get better results if you don't starve yourself man. I promise you. If nothing else remember this when starving yourself isn't getting you the results you desire. Give it a try. What have you got to lose? Besides the weight of course.

    Sorry for the long post.
