2010 Metallic Gray Tacoma TRD Sport

I have a 2010 tacoma sport and I need to replace the starter. Does anyone have any advice on the subject. The last time I installed a new starter I took the starter apart so I could slide it past the steering rod and exhaust manifold. I can't do that process with the starter I just purchased as it is assembled differently. Any advice would be appreciated.
