Hey guys i finally got a video of my truck failing to start and before i go buy parts i want to double check with a few people and make sure it is what i think it is.

In this video you cant hear the quick little crank it tries to make when i turn the key before i get nothing. It is just a quick crank then silence for a half a second after i turn the key.

I believe its the starter and would like some others to verify if possible. Like always thank you guys very much and i love this site.

The starter seems to be doing it's job, I doubt the slight hesitation is that.

    Tight and clean battery terminals?
Good battery ... under load, not just a voltage test?
Crank sensor giving you the finger, maybe?

Remove the battery terminals and clean them and reinstall. If the problem persists the battery may be on its way out. Take it to the parts store and have them check it. Not the BS quick check the one that takes them a few hours so the battery can be fully checked.

If the cold cranking amps CCA are low at all, even slightly, replace the battery.

    Thank you both very much.

I just changed the battery about 2 years ago, i will re check it. If it was the battery wouldn't we hear the clicks?

After you clean the corrosion and oxidation off of your positive and negative battery posts & terminal lugs and ground connections and test the performance of your battery, the starter solenoid contacts and plunger are the most probable culprit. The high starter motor current pits and burns the contacts over time.

Cleaned one battery terminal and replaced the other. I think we may have solved the problem mates, thanks ALL.
