    Yeah when I put in the new one....it fired right up


    these ignition switches are a lot like the fuel pump, if either is past 150K, you're on borrowed time...

    and thats for original oem one.......aftermarket or replacement one I'd replace em at 100K intervals


    ..........or get AAA, or some comfortable shoes


    so I keep a spare switch out of a corolla in the glove box......

    when you lube the cylinder you destroy the contacts

    One thing that was not mentioned was does this truck have an aftermarket alarm system with a starter interupt relay. I have had the crappy scotchlock connectors fall apart.

    thats a good point.....if you have an aftermarket alarm....its just a matter of time before you get a no start

    suspect almost half out there came with one......

    If so ....I'd start investigating on how to pull it.....now


    took less than 10min to pull mine and solder back together one ignition wire(white/red).....
