Out of nowhere, began to not start, battery seems fine, lights work perfectly. All I would hear is one single click. I thought the problem was obvious- starter! Installed a new starter yesterday, and all that did was eliminate the click, and now not even a click, or cranks at all.
    Any ideas????

yes, everything on the dash is now lit up, battery light, airbag light, check engine light, and maintenance req light.

    I’m at a loss!

I recently had to get my battery replaced, it was a 2007 OEM that never been replaced it lasted a long time. I would go get the battery tested because when I had battery issues the lights still worked just not enough juice to crank.

Have battery tested. Check battery cables especially the ground.

I actually put the meter on the battery last night and it said it was fine. And even tried to jump it, and still nothing

Clean the terminals and have the battery tested. Sounds like there’s enough juice to run lights, but not enough to start the truck.

There was some corrosion, so I cleaned the terminals, the wires, they are good. Originally thought the battery cooked off. But ran the meter- fine, double checked the wires with the meter, they are good. I was thinking a security system issue. But, it’s a standard key. And now that the click is gone, I can hear a slight rumble, almost like it’s trying, but no turn over, or clicking

You could have a bad cell and still read proper voltage. Take the battery a local parts store for a load test. How old is the battery?

It's a faulty battery, not starter. Enough voltage to power lights etc.. but not enough CCA to start the vehicle. Buy a new battery.

I have had the same issue the past few weeks. Battery reads good voltage. Alternator is putting out good voltage. When jump-started it starts right up. I finally put my battery load tester on it and it drops to 0 amps after a split second. It's definitely the battery.

I'm going to agree with the consensus and say battery. With any other cause, you'd likely still get normal cranking, just no fire. The clicking tells me that there isn't enough power. Yes, all the dash lights may be fine and meter may claim it is good, but it isn't. You can always try a new battery and return it if it isn't the issue.

But on the off chance it isn't, have you checked the fuses and relays?

Sure sounds like a ground issue to me. The warning lights will do that if there is not enough voltage other than that a toes up battery voltage and no current find a friend with a load tester.

The only issue I have with that is, where would a grounding issue suddenly come from?

Also, all of those lights commonly come on when the vehicle is set to "on" but not running.

I’m going to grab a battery today, and try that, sounds like if I eliminate that possibility as well, anything after that, will be a job for the pros. I hate having to pay someone for something like this. Although, I’m eliminating the higher cost possibilities.
Thanks everyone for your input! I very much appreciate all of it.

Only reason I’m afraid it isn’t the battery was because I couldn’t even jump it

Had this same problem in my truck a little bit ago, the battery grounded out a cell internally. It's normal and nothing you can really do about it. Having it properly tested at a parts store should show the issue and put you in a good place to procure a replacement.

Take your battery with you, have it tested (free) and replace if necessary. That way you know definitively and your core charge is taken care of with the old battery.

When mine did it, I was able to jump it off a known good battery...so that's odd
