Depends on added accessories but the lifespan of batteries ranges from 3-5 yrs. OP, how old is your battery?

I have a problematic battery on the wife's van that I fought for too long. Always tested OK, but at the end was diagnosed with a bad cell.

Now get out your multimeter and do some testing before you buy any more parts.

Did the parts store test the old battery? Are you sure the starter you put in is good and installed correctly? Personally, I would have the battery tested and put the old starter back in. When new problems arise mid-troubleshooting, I look back at maintenance done and don't ASSUME because I replaced something that there is now not a problem there (that may not have been there before).

    Ugh!
It’s fixed, after installing the starter, the metal pin inside the plug and play harness actually got pushed forward, and wasn’t making contact. So, I’ll keep the battery anyway.
    Thank you everyone who commented!!!

Glad you got it fixed. Call me crazy, but I actually feel good about YOU getting things fixed. Weird huh? I guess feeling grateful for the little things in life doesn't have to directly involve yourself.

Glad it's fixed too...good thing you aren't me, cause I'd be swapping that old battery back in to see if the problem comes back to check my fix...lol

I do think the battery had some damage, either lost a cell or started to cook out. I just can’t believe it was something so easily overlooked.
    Thank you so much guys!
I think I’m going to hang out, maybe I can be as helpful as everyone was to me
