    Morning Chris,
    Yes I have it cranks for 3-4 seconds before it fires @ 14 degrees outside.
    Is this normal? maybe so

    Yep. Its normal. :) I know they have the same winter rateing, but try some 5w-30 on your next change, and see what you think.
