Checked on my rust again today because i was doing touch ups on my rims and noticed the rust near the back of my truck is significantly worse then the front. I’m even considering maybe getting new shackles soon too geez

What about the front mounting point on the frame?...that's where I see the frame buckle in.

You may want to put your jerry-rigging metal fabricator skills to work on that rust before it's too late.

Take a hammer and beat it. Doesn't look like toast yet but it could be.

To answer everyone’s question, mid frame is not bad because I undercoated it around a year and a half ago, and as far as the rest of the frame I’ll get more pics later

Did you undercoat the INSIDE of the frame too? These things rust from the inside out typically, so just undercoating the outside doesn't really do much except mask potential problems.

That's why the hammer test is so important. That and cleaning inside and out of the frame and fluid filming everything.

As we've talked about before, I'm certainly not an expert with first hand knowledge (I live in CA). AFAIK, there isn't really a "good" method, lol, but a pressure washer extension or something like that may work.

Maybe something on a hose (so it can flex around the bends in the rear frame section).

I think there are some holes in the part of the frame where it transitions from boxed to C channel, you might be able to get a pressure washer extension in there...

i have heard of a chimney sweep to remove all loose paint chips inside :notsure:
and then somehow suck out all of those large chips
i have been using a magnet on a stick but is time consuming as heck fishing stuff out

below is what the boxed to C channel area looks like

I’ve done the hammer test and my whole frame is super solid in a lot of spots but I just don’t have time to do the fluid film thing. I’m not even in the country half the time anymore haha so it’s hard for me to find time to do stuff especially like scraping and undercoating my whole frame
