I jut had a good friend get laid off from his government job which he was very good at, and actually saved the taxpayers money through his efficiency.

    So this is a stereotype.

I would vote for that to become a law in an instant. I don't give my friends free beer when they come over, my house is BYOB, but the government give out money to anyone who doesn't deserve it and let's the buy drugs with it, they should just give it back to me, I don't do drugs, maybe that is the problem, just found a good reason to do drugs...

That's the thing. My friend went through 7 months of unemployment despite being extremely qualified. He finally got on with the State Senate.

Thing is, even if he had exhausted his entire unemployment benefits (which employers pay, not taxpayers -- although that is debatable) he would still not have qualified for Welfare because he has no children and because he is not disabled.

I know a guy that has a concealed belt that he cares a viel of clean urine in every day so that if he gets drug tested he has clean urine. He is a security guard and his employer can drug test him at anytime. I hate him for this and give him a hard time about buying urine...

Most piss test have to be a certain temperature to even qualify it to be read, tell your friend he needs to keep it closer to his body more like touching his body, he's having false security right now

My wife and I pull down good money. We are both tired of feeling like slaves. 25 mutherfucking percent of our earnings GONE every month, with no accountability for where it goes. It feels like the world has gone crazy!

You CAN look up the Federal, State and Local taxes you are assessed. It's public record.

Might not like what you find, though.

ok and your point being? should we drug test teenagers before they engage in unprotected sex? i think it's great that daycare is provided to help keep teenage mom in school. when i was a sophomore in HS a pregnant girl was expelled just for being pregnant.

..where's the real failure in that circumstance?..mom/dad? the school system? becouse by law they can not pass out condoms on campus, or because the only sex education doctrine is abstinence and not to teach safe sex? we can go on and on..but that's not the topic in this particular thread!!

    Just bought it!
'As long as the tax dollars roll in' is a big statement to make in this kind of economy. The worse things get, the more people come in to apply for help, and the less workers there are to do the work. Take a look at this chart and tell me how long you think my job is going to be safe. From 2010 to 2011 we lost 2177 workers, and only replaced 797 of them, that's 1380 less welfare workers in one year. Considering the 15,930 there are in my department across the state, if things stay at that rate there wouldn't be a welfare job left in 11 years. Sounds like a dream job, doesn't it?
