    Whoa!

Anyone know what the story was? - How this this end?

Hopefully with an arrest and a big fine for haz-mat contamination...

They probably used a twincy-bit-more sophisticated design than "the man from Glad" ...

Videos like this were a dime a dozen during the gas shortage when the prices skyrocket in ‘21. This is the worst that I remember seeing but there where countless videos of people filling unsafe vessels with and without lids, in both truck beds and trunks, so they wouldn’t have to wait in line “next time”.

    Yeah.
Not really a commodity, as that implies something that is available and exchanged in large quantities. While I would consider a trunk full of piss certainly is a large quantity of piss, I don't think it qualifies as a commodity.

But, this temp thing is something I didn't know, and it seems like good information to have. I wonder if there is a pee expert here on TW.

In the age of Henry VIII, maids used 1-month-old male pee (female pee was not good enough) to wash clothes. After a month it became "ammonia" and cleaned clothing. They set buckets on public street corners so passers-by could unzip and contribute.

Ok, by commodity I just mean something someone will purchase. And there are probably 5 piss experts around here.

Nother thing that is damned important which nobody's mentioned in this thread re: plastic gas cans:

After filling at the pump (with can on ground,) carefully thread on & tighten the cap -- and then turn the closed/sealed gas can on its side (or invert it completely) and shake a little to check for leaks.

I once did this & discovered that, although the screw-cap itself was on straight, a sealing O-ring had gotten cross threaded/rolled over some threads, resulting in a steady piss-like dribble of gasoline coming through the neck threads when test-inverted after filling.

F'%)(#ing crazy to think that all it would have to do is tip sideways in the closed rear camper shell of my Taco, filling it with ounces of liquid gasoline & completely saturating with gasoline vapor.

(I've since more or less sworn off plastic gas cans & moved to Wavian® steel 5-gallon NATO-style jerry cans. No threads on the sealing cap, just a plain gasket w/ strong & obvious clamping mechanism.)

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
^^ This is law in some localities.
Always filled when sitting on the ground.
Mine sit on a bed mat in the truck and get tied to the rail.
