    Right now the default box is checked. From a security standpoint for end users, that should be opt IN, not opt OUT.

    While something like this may appear to be a dark pattern, in all honesty a lot of folks who sign up can't remember their passwords from one day to the next. Emails daily about folks needing to reset their passwords, etc

    I'm not asking that it goes away, simply that the default be to opt IN.

    Incredible security threat left this way, then anybody can follow behind and get access.

    Incredible security threat? Would that be to one’s TW account and related info only? IE, someone on a shared device could pretend to be me, and ask how big of tire can fit without rubbing, or what oil is best? Because I want to ask those important life questions myself, dangit!

    Or are you talking about drained bank accounts, identity theft, a nefarious transfer of a land title…??

    Explain it like I wear steel toes at work please.

    Log in as you. Get ridiculed for asking AGAIN about oil, on TUESDAY.

    Then go to your account info. Change you address, record other vital info. Go to marketplace and order stuff. Cuss out mods and get banned.
