I was getting out on a busy street....paying more attention to the traffic than my hand as I was shutting the door.....?......hurts like hell, but nothings broke. Got a nickle sized blood blister on the tip of my thumb and a 1/2 purple fingernail.

Why is it that your wife/gf decides she wants a vacation away from everyone else the exact month you're trying to figure out how to pay utility shut off notices and have next to nothing in the bank? I thought women could smell money (and conversely, the lack there of)......

I don't actually have a constructive answer, but perhaps she misses the smell of money and wants to go someplace where she can smell it again? :D

I've never actually had a vacation, so I can't really say for sure--we've never been able to afford one.

yeah... i don't know. I haven't had a vacation in 7 years anyway, and even then it was more of a trip to see if we wanted to live there.

Oh, and I wouldn't argue except it's $200 for the plane ticket to Florida, plus spending money. We have shut off notices for phone and electric I'm paying the bare minimum to keep on.... And she wants to spend $200 on plane ticket.s  And then making me feel guilty (trying to anyway) about taking the $200 she earned babysitting and using for bills. Tried bringing up the fact that I bought a lawnmower 2 years ago when money was tight, and a new bed cover for the truck. Pulls this crap saying "I always come last, I know." Meanwhile, she never mows the lawn and city ordinances say we have to. And she's never complained about putting groceries, tupperware crap to sell, or her homemade candy to sell in the back of the truck where it stays dry. Oh, and we had to buy a new cover sooner than I wanted because she accidently broke the previous one by not flipping the last panel open causing the wind to flip it back and tear the hinge out.

Yeah, it does.... Not planning on one for a few years more either.... Not until the kids are less, uhhhh, "needy". :(
