Steal of a deal on oil.

So I usually use mobil 1 , but locally it’s kind of hard to find 0W- 20 on hand. Took a look at other options and shell Rotella gas truck stood out to me and I found it had better friction protection compared to mobil 1. However mobil 1 had an ever so slightly higher cleaning detergent number. Anyways, advance has gas truck Rotella on clearance for 2.60 a quart. I bought all they had. 24 quarts at $63. Stocked up on oem filters when I bought the truck so I’m good for the next 20-25k miles. Figured I’d share. Run down to advance and grab u some. Here’s the vid.

Very informative. I’ve been a big mobil1 guy myself, but Ive heard some good things out havoline so going to try it out the next couple oil changes. I wish project farm would do a test on it, gotta love his non-sponsored, unbiased facts

I've used mobil 1, and mobile filters in my tundra for nearly 300k miles doing an oil change once a year, and it still ran like it did when new when i sold it. I'd have to be an idiot to try something else.

There's deals out there from time to time if you happen to run across them.
I got Mobil1 0w-20 Truck&SUV for $14.99 per 5qt bottle, then got another $20 back in rebate back from Mobil1.

 

If you have a Costco membership, Kirkland 0w-20 is probably one of the best deals out there. 10 quarts for about $26.

 

Check your Walmart also. They got this stuff marked down.

 

Or if you ran your intervals at what the factory recommends, you’d be set for the next 40-50k

Logged onto Advance Auto Parts site this evening. A coupon popped up for 20% off online orders with code sent to your e-mail address.
$1.99 per quart price for 0w-20 Shell Rotella synthetic with in store pickup.

 

I find that Walmart cannot be beat on Oil and batteries.

Cannot be beat consistently, but if you have confidence in this oil, sounds like you got them this time.

By the way, thanks for sharing, I feel that these types of posts are too few and far between.

 

Wow! Rotella 0W-20 is on sale for $2.49 a quart. I think it would be worth the drive for me to pick up at least 6 quarts for my next years oil change.

 

Only used Shell Rotella since I owned my Duramax 6-7 years ago
