Stealership, hosed me again.

Bastards charged me $125 to put the new Toytec top plates on my OME885's and Billy's!!! Hell, they only charged me $70 to assemble the damn things 2 months ago. Thieves!!!!!

Should have done it your self. Its not that bad.

 

I did not have the proper tools to compress the springs. Last time I tried it the coil compressors exploded and busted my garage windows. I paid it cuz the work was already done.

 

The probably charge so much so they can cover their broken windows.

 

That's why I try to do everything myself. I save dealerships or auto shops as a last resort. Also I just love working on my truck.

 

Damn, at least it didn't bust you up or somebody else.

 

Didn't they just have to assemble them the first time? This time they had to break them down, put on the spacers and reassemble then mount back on your truck.

I wasnt initially gonna do the toytec spacers so I had the billys set at .85 then decided to change it up.

 

Should have got one from harbor freight there spring compressor is $30. I'm pretty positive I could throw mine off a roof loaded with a whole assembly and it would not let it go. It clamps it from 4 sides and has a locking pin.

just dont buy the $15 one. me and my buddy still have a stock spring stuck in its grip!!!!

i went to a local merchants tire / tire kingdom. They charged me 40 bucks put my top plates on my new shocks / springs. They were off the truck of course.

 

Isn't the toytec top plate spacer supposed to go on top of the shock, you don't need to take your spring and shocks apart. I have 1/2 toytec top plate and u just slapped them on my top of the shocks and reinstalled the shock back in.
