That's exactly what I did. I'm going with 5100s all around and custom AAL on the rear. Tire size and choice will determine amount of lift. I'm either going to run 275/75-16 or 285/75/16. I don't off road at all so whatever I do will be for looks. Here are a couple of setups I like.

That would be one of my recommendations...I have billie 5100 at 1.75" on the front, TSB four pack on the rear with rachco 5000 series and 265/75-16 on stock rims.

I will just order the leaves I need, plus ubolts and centerbolts as needed. You might also think about better spring bushings, I like the three piece polyurathane variety. Order them for the arch you want and note if the centerbolt is off center and if you need taper or three sided ends.

But the spring shop guys do these every day and get it right the first time. I have had poor experiences with commercial add-a-leaf kits. Often they are too heavy to make up for worn springs and give a stiff ride.

Almost the same setup I have. I have 5100's all around, @ 1.75, new TSB 3+1 leaf pack. Right now it's sitting dead level @ 22" center of hub to fender, on all corners. I like the ride as is, but would like to get 1-1.5" of rake.

You use your truck to do real truck things and there is not an AAL out there that will not break on you. AALs are a low-budget cosmetic lift
kit component for mall crawlers and you have already experienced their lack of durability under actual use. I'm sure the Icon or Wheeler's progressive AAL kits are much better quality than the ghetto-ass single AAL, but the other issue is that the OEM leaf springs are a known weak link on Tacomas. You'll be better off in the long run if you just get all new leaf packs and solve the problem for good.

That was one of my thoughts. The only aftermarket full packs I've seen so far seem to be either a stock replacement, or 2+" of lift. If anyone knows of a full pack that will get me 1-1.5" over stock height , I'd be interested.

The quote on wheelers' website for their 5 leaf HD set says depending on your setup, the rear will sit slightly higher than stock. I was considering these, but cash was short. It leads me to believe that it's 1.5" or less, but maybe you can ping yotaDan for an answer...

Cool. I think I'll do that. I have looked at that set before, but don't know if those will be too harsh of a ride for what I'm looking for. Everything else in the description sounds good though.

Thanks to everyone for the input.

Yes thanks guys for all the input, I'm going to have to look into a new leaf pack. Because like it was said, I'd rather get rid of the problem for good. Rather than keep replacing the AAL and have it keep breaking
