I am really wanting the F5s but noticing the 1st gens don't seem to get nearly the same negative offset/less back spacing ones like the later gens do. There are only 2 six lug 16" options:
    3.50" -25mm
    4.50" +0mm

I would imagine the 3.50" with -25mm offset would have that deep look but the 1st gens with specs posted have the 3.5" -25mm and it doesn't look that deep at all.

Does the 4.5" 0mm go super deep into the wheel well? The best fitment is the 3.5" -25mm for 1st gens?

Also, looks to already be danger close with the brake caliper, anyone rocking these on a 1st gen with the Tundra caliper swap?

2nd post - such a newbie truck/tacoma owner. I recently put SCS F5 16" -25 with KO2 265/75/R16 on my 2023 sport DCLB (finally figure out what to cut and how far to make them fit without rubbing). My new question is what are the Pro/Cons of -25, 0 , +10 Offset. With my current -25, it seems to kick up ALOT of mud/dirt onto the body/doors. This would be fine once in awhile, but I'm often in mud/dirt from being up in the mountains of the PNW often. (not off-road, just dirty/muddy parking lots). any information/thoughts would be much apperciated.

You could look at picking up a different set and selling your deep dish -25mm F5's. It wouldn't be too hard to do because a lot of people dig that look. I am still deciding on a good tire to throw on my 17x8.5 -10mm F5's. I would concede that sometimes the -25 in 16" or the -38 in 17" look cool, but I've already done the -25 in 16's on my 3rd gen 4runner. You are correct. You will never have a clean truck here in the PNW. When you slow down, you can see the water spray up from all 4 tires. I think what I have doesn't look quite as shallow as the 16" +0mm options. It's more middle of the road and should keep more crap in the wheel wells and off my windows and body. It becomes a bigger PITA off road. The mud just paints the side of the vehicle to where you can't really see out of them. LOL. 72377239_2909959382351792_7858465334657810432_n.jpg

@smartin101 you have -25. So a +10 would be a difference of 35mm or bringing the assembly in by 1.38 inches. That would definitely help with the debris being thrown up on the sides.

That is correct! They sit flush with the fender flares.

    Thanks for the info!!

by pushing the wheel/tire in more, do you have any insight if it will create new places for the tire to rub? anyone else running +10 with KO2 265/75/R16? if so any insight into rub and/or dirt being thrown up on the sides?

Thanks! I don’t get any dirt/rock kick up as you can see in the photos, that was after a couple days at KOH. I run the rockbloxz mud flaps which take care of that. I didn’t want rock chips all over my truck so I went with a moderate setup. Been there and done that with rock chips on my old 2nd gen.

thanks much - this is very helpful! My current set up (stock suspension +-25 with KO2 265/75/R16) i had to trim back a bit of the plastic on the back of the wheel well, did the mudflaps require any modifications when you installed? Again - thanks so much for the info and additional photos.

No modifications at all. They just sit flat against the fender well in the stock location. These tires didn’t clear front oem mudflaps so I opted for the rockbloxz. No trimming of anything else.

I was about to ask if you had a front picture to see the poke and you beat me to it! Perfect man, this is exactly what I'm looking for. I just ordered my lift, and should be ordering wheels and tires soon!

I'm torn between these and the -25 offset. Love the deep dish look but worried about my paint...

Seen you other post with the TRD lift, came out nice and clean.

-38mm is the way to go. The stance is perfect!
