Looking at this set, I was wondering if a -25mm or 0mm offset is preferred on stock suspension with 265/75-16's (3rd gen)? I see everyone say this is the biggest size that'll fit on stock suspension, but offset is never mentioned. If there won't be rubbing with either, is there any reason to choose one over the other? from my understanding the -25mm will stick out more, correct?

Lift: OME 2inch suspension (light in front, heavy in the back)
These rubbed after install, but then I lifted the truck and problem was solved. SCS said if I went with a bigger tire with the lift, that I would need to do a cab mount chop. Truck Beast in Glacier National Park.jpg IMG_20180705_110149-01.jpg

i think that photo I took is after logans pass, but it is along the going to the sun road (good eye)! Love the tan topper too, but admittedly bought the truck with that on it from a friend. that and the tires. everything else is me (lift, wheels, swingarm a friend built for me, decked drawers). sadly the tan topper is getting donated to a friend once my GFC arrives. gearing up for a 6+ month road trip in 2019 :benchpress:

Yeah that road was RAD. I thought at one point I was gonna rip off the side of my truck as some bigger truck coming up was coming into my lane. I accepted fate and came out fine! And if you want a topper, the softopper has been awesome. Even camped in the teens in it. It's just if I'm gonna live out of it for half a year, I needed a little more luxury LOL.

It really is RAD! never been in my truck but my Lexus IS is beyond fun on those roads. Recent repairs should be done so some of those tight spots have been fixed I do believe.
That just means drive it FASTER!!! :burnrubber:

Well glad to hear, thats the exact topper and color I want. What are you replacing it with?

Any have 255/75/17 on the 17x8.5 4.3bs f5? I know that’s the max width rim for 255. Was wondering if it looks balloony?

I have the OME/bilstein lift with 885 and HD Dakar’s. LR UCAs. I’d rather not do much chopping and cutting. Currently running fj steelies with 265/70/17 kelly edge. No flaps anymore.

I know everyone says get 255/80, just like everyone says 285(if you don’t like skinny), but then they end up rubbing and chopping. I launch boats often and I don’t want that horrendous rubbing noise all the time.

Why not just get 265 again then? Honestly they won't look undersized if you're concerned about rubbing.

As far as the tall skinnies I'm not sure if they would look balloonish or more stretched.

Took this pic for fun today.

Got the 16's with 3.5 backspacing. I have a 3" lift and was wondering what are the biggest size tires I can run without rubbing. 265/75r16? Or something bigger like 285/75/16?

265 is the largest without rubbing (and even some aggressive treads rub in that size). You’ll rub a little on pavement with 285, but lots of guys run them without major cutting. Expect a little plastic trimming here and there

Solid choice! The rays are nice, but man the F5s are such a great looking wheel. I am biased though. They look great on your rig man.

Thanks fellas. Ridge grapplers are smoother than the ko2 but noiser imo. Anyone running wheel spacers with the 17x9? Sounds crazy but i know some have
