Hey guys hate to be that guy with questions that are probably out there, but I’m having trouble finding the information.
Looking into getting some SCS F5’s or SR8’s. The only ones available are the 16x8 4.50" BS 6x139.7
Wondering what is a good tire size to get and aggressive look and avoid most rubbing?
Also, what is a good tire for long distance travel and back roads?
Do I need a lift to run these?
Would love to see some picture of the wheels on trucks and some reviews. Or just ur basic setup info and tips.
    Thanks

So first things first: do you really want the 0 offset version, or would you rather have wheels that poke out a bit? Because if you do want the flush look of the 4.5bs wheels, I would buy them right now before they're gone. If you want a little "poke", it may be worth it to wait so you don't have to run spacers to get the aggressive look, and possibly regret it later. I bought Ray10s, and to get the poke the 3.5bs F5s give, I'm ordering some Bora wheel spacers.

Yeah I literally checked stealthcustomseries.com daily for almost two months to get all 5 of mine. I had to place two orders because I couldn't get all 5 at once. It's so worth the work though, and Vin has great customer service and advice.

The one thing I would say is that if you want to run a bigger tire without rubbing, you'll want to get the 4.5bs wheels. With my Ray10s at 4.0bs back when I was running 265s, I still had to trim some plastics to keep from rubbing on stock suspension.

Honestly though, once you do a little trimming you realize it's not nearly as scary as you thought, plus you can't tell unless you look close inside the wheel wells. I'm pushing mine out even farther, I'll be at 3.25bs or -31 offset with 285/70R16s, and I'm 100% sure I'll have to trim more, and maybe even do a cab mount chop. But I'm fine with that now that I've already trimmed for the other tires. I also only have a 1.75" level in the front, and the rear is stock.

Now are you rubbing on turns or just over bumps and cruising? I have a leveling kit in my truck now that I think I will replace with 5100's, leaf add, and after market UCA down the line. (current lift rides pretty rough but also may be LT tires)
My truck now rubs when I'm making sharp turns with the tires that came on the truck, LT285/70 R 17

Sounds like you're headed the right direction with the suspension. You also already have tires that are an inch taller than my current ones. I used to rub on turns as well as bumps, but with that taller tire that you have I would guess your truck was already trimmed by the previous owner. Almost nobody can fit a 285/70R17 on our trucks without some form of trimming. Can you post a pic or two of where it rubs in your front wheel wells?

I run the F5s in 16" with 4.5bs. I get a bit of rub even with just 265/75s on the cab mount when I'm offroad but that can be corrected with an alignment...the shop I took it to after installing the SPC UCAs got the numbers where I asked them but I need to move the tire forward in the wheel well with the UCA adjustment and take it back for another alignment since they only used the LCA adjustment.

So I had the same rubbing on that plastic piece hanging down in the front, and I just cut it off and trimmed it back a bit with a pocket knife. No more rubbing in the front. I also had to trim the corners of the fender flares on the bottom. Looks like you have plenty of room in the back which is good.

That would put you about flush with the fenders, maybe poking out just a little depending on tire size/manufacturer. Do you want to keep your current tire size? It sounds like some great All Terrain tires are the BFGoodrich KO2, Falken Wildpeak AT3W, Nitto Ridge Grappler, and Toyo R/T.

I’m currently running the stealth 6 model with a 2.5” leveling kit on the front. I have 265/70/17 tires and have no rub whatsoever. The best way to keep on restock is to follow them on Instagram, as they always post restock dates and what they’re gonna stock. Can also send Vin a DM and ask him, he’s been awesome for me. Hope this helps!

Kind of depends if you want a 16x8 or 17x9

Can't really go wrong with any set of SCS wheels.

If you're not too OCD and are flexible on color, definitely check out their blemish stock as well for a small discount compared to buying new.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/scs-blemished-wheels.264466/

Vin's attention to detail is ridiculous - I've bought a couple of blemished wheels and they all looked perfect to me.

Would -38 on 285/70/17 be too much hassle? I have a 2011, second gen

I have 5100 2.5” lift in the front right now with my stock sport rims
