Haha I always seem to get positive and negative caster confused. I bet it helped! What is the factory caster setting? How much room did you gain? Was the driving characteristics affected?

I am not entirely sure what factory specs were, but at factory specs, I was rubbing with my old 275/70r17's. The trick is to tell the alignment shop to move the caster up as far as they can. Driving characteristics weren't affected

Really liking the SR8's! Is there any way they can be had without the outer bolt design?

Has anyone seen the new limited SR8's that are dark bronze with the machined ring?

    You mean these?

I haven't seen them on a truck yet, but I have seen the gunmetal machined lip mounted, and as awesome as they look in the stock pic, I didn't like them as much as the black lip once I saw them mounted.

That's them. I agree with you, but that opinion might change once I see them mounted.

Dark bronze is a color I never would have considered, but after seeing them on a few trucks, they look pretty awesome, especially on black.

This thread is definitely a bad influence on me.

Eventually I will. I just spent $600 not even 2 years ago on the wheels I have now, so it's hard to justify buying new ones now. These wheels are the shit though. 24 lbs for the 17" SR8 is awesome, and just about unheard of for aftermarket wheels. That will give me time to figure which color I want. I was set on the gunmetal SR8's, but as I said, the dark bronze looks pretty awesome on black.

That's exactly why I chose SCS wheels. They're light. They're simple. They're reasonably priced. And they make any Toyota look better. Can't go wrong. The only decision that needs to be made is color preference, which is a hard thing to do. I have Matte gunmetal ordered and I am still second guessing it. lol

The matte gunmetal looks pretty damn sweet too. If I had to choose right now, that's what I would go with.

I am getting a 2016 white trd off road. Hopefully soon!!

Looking at the sr8s in either...

    16 inch bronze

    Or

17 inch bronze with machined lip.

The trd off road comes with the black fenders. All the white tacomas with the bronze sr8s I have seen have white fenders. Any thoughts on how they would look with the black fenders?

I can't decide if the machined lip is worth bumping up to a 17 inch wheel. Hope to see a pic of one soon. The machined lip sr8s sure look awesome in the pics.

The machined lip are a limited edition, so that may be worth bumping up a size. As far as the fenders go the third gen fenders aren't as big as the second gen, so I don't see them being an eyesore. Although if you wind up not liking it you can always paint match them.
