We have 8 pairs of 1/2" thick spacers waterjet cut. You shouldn't need more than 1/2" spacer, if you do, then very likely there is something wrong in your setup.

Be careful people, shock companies are literally selling shocks to people that bottom out. I don't recommend putting a shock in stock location that is longer than 15.5" fully collapsed

what would be the purpose of this plates? This could help so I can shift up the lower shock relocation plates ?
I have installed a shock relocation kit and the lower mounts hang lower than I was hoping.

It's to limit your up travel by 0.5" to keep the shock shaft from bottoming out if you are having issues depending on your specific setup. I effectively moves the bump stop down 0.5". If your rear suspension is set up/spec'd properly you shouldn't need them.

I think that would be a poor decision. I personally would rather have the bump travel, since the Tacoma is lacking woefully in bump travel stock, get all you can

We currently have about 10 U-bolt flip Option 3 kits boxed, ready to ship today!

Option 3 is our best offering with soft engagement, it slows weight down over more distance for more progressive feel.

So I installed the Archive Garage option 3 U-bolt flip kit on another TW members 2012 DCLB with the Icon RXT leafs that were previously installed a year ago.
    20210912_142500.jpg

    My overall review:
    1. The directions were very straight forward and even though I have installed numerous U-bolt flip kits in the past, the directions are well thought out and simple for the average DIY truck enthusiast.
    2. The U-bolts are very stout and the steel base that the bumpstops attach to are very well machined. I had absolutely no problems getting the bumpstops attached to the steel base.
    3. I really liked how the bumpstops were thought out. It is a very firm material that gives both support and comfort, as well as protect for the shocks from bottoming out.
    4. When cycling the suspension over bumps, I was pleasantly surprised at how soft and comfortable they were with 600lbs+ in the rear going over bumps. I drove the truck before we installed them to get a feel of the OEM bumpstops beforehand and then drove over the same obstacles after installation.
    5. The bumpstops are not so high that the truck would be hitting them all the time but high enough to focus on protection.

    Overall thoughts:
I have a Wheelers U-bolt flip kit on my rig with Timbren bumpstops that I installed 2 years ago. They do provide comfort and protection but I do feel that they might be a little too soft in certain instances. If these were available back when I was looking to install a kit on my rig, I would have done so knowing what I know now. Great job @ARCHIVE . I will definitely be recommending them to others in the future.

Thank you Jared, I appreciate the feedback and back to back comparison.

The height is designed to start working a little sooner than stock bumps so they dont have to be a "light switch" like stock ones.
This allows softer engagement and slows weight down over greater distance

What are your recommendations for front bump stops to pair with your option 3 rears?

I'd go with Wheeler's Super Bumps up front, they have a specific harder durometer for the front suspension, due to the fact the lower control arm acts like a lever arm and exerts a motion/force ratio more like 3:1, vs rear suspension being 1:1 motion ratio.

Thanks; I figured they were SAE.

I can attest to the fact that Radflo 2.5 OEM rears are 16.6" fully collapsed. I had to fab up 1.5" spacers out of Starboard (marine grade hdpe), but my leafs are also just slightly thicker than OEM, so there was more distance I had to make up.

Eric spent more time than he needed to, to help me sort things out, which was much appreciated.

It appears that Radflo's logic is that they sized the 8" shocks to provide approx. 4" of both up and down travel for a 2-inch lift. As such, they are okay for a 2 to 3 inch rear lift, but not good choice for shorter lifts unless you have them custom fab pistons with welded-on eyelets.

Fox and King are roughly an inch shorter, giving you the 4/4 split on travel for a 1" lift.

The 8" Radflos fully extended do push the stock brake lines to near their extension limit, but I still have a bit of slack fully extended.

I would trim those down. Also it may be the angle of the pic but it looks like your limit strap bolt will shred that bump stop.

With that bumpstop, you are ok to leave them

Wow thanks, I totally missed that. I think you might be right about the limit strap bolts. Is there a better place to mount them?

Can’t say for sure without seeing the truck in front of me but this area would probably be ok. I’ve seen others in a similar area.
