    Yep, all of this. Some of our aluminum castings are over $100k each, and we buy in volume.

    I'm sure you could find someone to do this on a cost+ type contract, but only if you paid weekly.
    I doubt you have the pockets for it though.

    So, no, not a realistic goal.

    Make sure if you go steel, consider going cutlery-grade stainless. I once knew a guy what made his block outta pig iron. He had to boar it out every year.
