1/4" vs 3/16" plate steel...what are some thoughts. I have a guy who will fabricate all the armor I want to put under my 2013. You guys like the 1/4 over the 3/16?

1/4" is very heavy duty for steel, and heavy.

3/16 is slightly thinner and would hold up well for armor, and it weighs less, which is a plus.

Given the choice, I would go with 3/16 for the cost and weight savings. Taking off heavy armor underneath the vehicle for whatever reason can be a pain in the ass, so the less weight the better

    Bump...
3/16 it will be. Having the front and mid done first. Get pics up when I get them before painting.
