Anyone here going with steel on the 3rd gen? I am and was just curious. Seems like not many do anymore.

I am for now. They match the color of the truck nicely. No need to worry about rust here in the South. And lastly, they came with the truck.

This was on the table for a while as a cheaper option to just run black steelies all around but I havent pulled the trigger yet

But just imagine how much better your truck would look with these.

    Mostly stuff I built.
I'm wanting to see what a set of soft 8s looks like on a 3rd gen. I gave some but the 37s mounted on them won't clear the fenders to bolt up lol.

Thought about upgrading to the standard SR5 alloy wheels until the dealer told me it would be about $1,000 for just the alloy wheels, new sensors and install. Will stay with the steel wheels for now.

I should add the reason I'm going with steel is they are more serviceable on the trail.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
    Steel is real!

I love my steel wheels. Plus, they're cheap, so you can easily afford spares. I picked up a set of 4 for $100. Matching spare for the win!

The wheels I posted earlier go for $175-200 each. Not surprised the SR5 wheels and install would be around that mark.

The sensors alone are over $100 each for alloy wheels.

I see a ton of vehicles with plastidipped rims and they never look good for long. I would sand and spray paint them on a flat surface unless you don't mind touch ups and like the ability to peel them later and return to stock. personally I hate this:
