Sweet. Erie or "O"? Either way, I'm inspired to dust off the float stick and waders and go for a walk on the North shore of Lake O.

I've been building a new rod for the last couple weeks. Finally got to christen it today.

It's built on a NFC 1302HM with Fuji Titanium SiC guides.

Boy is that Kingfisher finicky about sand though. Until today I've never had a reel physically lock up (as in, would not spin at all!!).

None of my other reels have ever done that.

Bearing King fishers have really tight tolerances. I have a couple of bearing king fishers. That is one of the reasons why I prefer the bushing reels. Bushing reels tolerate more dirt and sand as long as you maintain them. I have not had my bearing King Fishers lock up yet, but I try to keep them out of the water as much as possible. Milner likes to use German Abec 7 bearings in his reels.

I'm so used to being able to set my KingPin down anywhere.....I'm going to have to be way more careful with the Milner.

Milner reels have to be one of my all time favorites, The Rod looks great also. I have a Lamiglas on the dryer as I type this.. But I am just getting back into building after a hiatus.

Anyone recognize this place? Last year during drop back season, the water was pushing 1980 at Pineville and we were the only ones there! damn near got swept out to Ontario but between the 4 of us, 28 dirty drop backs were brought to net. IMG_9744.jpg
