Got a question on the second fault code showed in the picture C1445 Vehicle Driven with steering angle sensor not initialized

Both codes popped up after i replaced my coils up front the first code i can fix but not sure how to go about resetting or calibrating the steering sensor..... Any tips advice would be greatly appreciated.....

I have the wireless scanner/ monitor i believe its the Icar 2 or something and use OBD Fusion

Also have a wired scanner just need some advice i guess.

Buy an older truck without that stuff:anonymous:

I would research and see if you can't find a diagnostic flow chart for that steering angle sensor. I am sure somewhere on the interwebs there is a factory repair manual. That's all I got.

double check make sure you didnt leave a sensor undone and clear code but mine was from the abs harness on drivers side from wheel sensor to where it clips in the fender well maybe test that for continuity and see if a wire is broke inside.

if you disconnected the battery and the steering wheel was not straight, this could set the code. if you have functional tests in your scanner you can go under wheel alignment or maybe steering column and reset to zero.
