    I will check it out at next oil change. Truck only has 90k miles when it started. I’ve had it at dealer for an oil change since noise started and nothing was noted about rack in the inspection

    Mine was very difficult to diagnose as well, hence this thread.
    Eventually ran out of anything else to replace, so did the rack bushings. Problem went away. Wish I'd known that earlier and saved the headache.
