I have had progressing failure of the controls on the steering wheel.

About 2 months ago my cruise control went out. One day it was working fine, then the next nothing. This was not seen as a big deal, as I don't use it frequently.

However about 3 weeks ago my phone controls started acting up also. I have noticed that the call pickup and hang up buttons do not work when the steering wheel is Flat (straight). However, if i am turning left, at about 90 degrees they work perfect.

Thoughts on this and potential remedy? I know there was issues with the 2011 and earlier spiral wire but this was supposedly limited to the pre-2012 models. And as a result isn't covered under warranty. Also the airbag light is not permanently on, it just comes up during the crank procedure as normal.
