So I replaced my rack and pinion. I put the steering shaft end onto the new rack and pinion and for whatever reason it seems that when I tighten the pinch bolt it wants to come off the rack and pinion.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I'm kind of confused.
Doesn't the splined shaft have a groove in it what the bolt goes through?
If the bolt is in the groove, it can not "slip off" the shaft.
Is the pinch coupler down far enough on the spline shaft?

    Bolt "lock" groove.

Yes you are correct! It was a problem on my end.

I kept trying to tighten after slipping the yoke to far. It's on good and snug now.:)

Now if I can figure out why it seems like these inner tie rods are to long:(
