When I offroad at low speed, whether it be rocky, bumpy, uphill, downhill etc. My steering can get a little crazy. I have a 3" lift with 285/70/17 ko2s. Just wondering if this is normal on these trucks. Here's a video for reference.

Pretty gnarly ruts. I think you're suppose to hold on to the steering wheel. :D

That's just the tires following the ruts.

It's like that over small bumps too! I have a long armed keep I wheel and it's not nearly as noticeable... Although I do love the high speed stuff in the taco way more than crawling the jeep!

    Edit: jeep for reference

Does it pull so hard it feels likes the steering wheel might spin out of your hands?

Then I would say thays not normal. I want to say it sounds like something in the alignment. Do you have adjustable UCAs with that much lift?

Id be willing to bet that your caster is too far off and its causing that. After about 2.5" of lift the factory ucas dont allow for correct caster adjustment. Does it wonder it bit at highway speed? Seem a little touchy?

Not too bad at highway speed. But the wheel does shake a tad over some of the bigger bumps

Picture this, the wheels on a shopping cart are angled back so as to follow the direction you are headed. If they were pointed straight down or forward they would wiggle and shimmy all over the place. Same thing for the angle of the front suspension on vehicles. If the suspension is angled too far forward, the tires will be unstable and want to turn and follow all the imperfections on the ground. This is probably your issue, or atleast part of it. New adjustable UCAs followed by an adjustment by a good shop would probably help.

Okay I'll get it done asap. I have a 4wheelparts local to me, think they'd be able to align uniball type arms properly?

I cant say from personal experience, but I would think they would.
